Let us be careful never to merely seek to make bad people good through legislation or any other means. We must always strive to share the good news of the gospel which changes people’s hearts through new life in Christ.

Excellent observation, Tim. Case in point: Focus on the Family Action's February newsletter in which Dr. Dobson states "we will fight for righteousness for as long as we have strength to resist" but doesn't even once indicate that the gospel, evangelism and discipleship should be the means we use to bring about the righteousness he desires to see.
